Can eating Chicken onset GERD (Acid Reflux)?

I went Vegan for 2 months then I noticed I was frying all my foods and not eating correctly giving me GERD. I'm starting to eat meat again as I know I need it in my diet. I ate 2 roasted thighs this morning and then a couple hours later at work I had a major excruciating episode of GERD. I was grabbing my chest at my desk and i had to run out of work, I went to the ER and then before I went into the building it went away. How can I stop the episode from happening when it starts? I really didn't want to leave work. I have been struggling with this for 2 months I am 24 years young. I cut out fried foods completey, anything greasy, and I don't eat sweet, drink caffeine, or anything acidic. I need help. I can't see a doctor til December becauset that's when my health kicks in. I need help.
