Will a pet rabbit still give its owner attention if it has another bunny with them?

Rabbits are social creatures, and thus, love companionship with other rabbits. Thus, if a owner gets more than one rabbit simultaneously or gets another one to add to the rabbit already present in the house, will either rabbit still interact/show affection to their owners, or will they only interact with each other? Why?
