Okay i really need opinions here.. what is this kind of humiliation?!?

there's a person whose way of pleasing people is through making a fool out of herself.. it actually became a habit.. and when she makes a fool out of herself and people just stare at her or kind of gives weird stares she feels this deep humiliation, felt stupid and lowered.. it really made a scar into her confidence. Doubt starts. Just imagine a clown who always act stupid to make people laugh but when people don't appreciate them they feel this humiliation. What is that? What is that feeling that can humiliate so much? What do you think could solve this?
